This week Brenda stumbles across a copy of The Writing's On The Wall and won't shut up about it. Plus, the new Geektress Radio, Manhunter, Venture Bros., and comics. Also: our first voicemail with the new number!

I was referring to Big Apple Con N NY ComicCon, both in the same city being held on the same day. Guess some fans can try to organize themselves to visit both for their points of interest. Or just go to one. And even though the talent do get paid for the cons and might be a welcome break for some, it still takes time away from projects and it is a weekend they might spend with family.

Venture Bros. I got it. It's like reading a comic book series you didn't get all the issues in order. And you have to hunt the back issues to get what happens in the latest issue you have.

Brenda's stance reminds me of a movie called Doom Generation, story of three young people and their strange road trip, near the end of the movie they hit a dog and the girl (played by Rose McGowan) cries and feels sorry for it. Which is weird cause most of the movie they been killing and/or watching people get killed. But it's a Gregg Araki movie, bizarre is what he does.

Baseball? I don't understand why people watch professional sports, it's watching a bunch of millionaires play games.

Geektress- Home of noisy flying cats and large needy puppies.

Hello ladies!

First, I totally suck and missed Brenda's birthday, which is downright shameful because she is awesome and has an awesome first name. :D Happy belated birthday. Score on the cake!

Next, if you're still interested in a music podcast, I would like to submit a song by Abney Park (www.abneypark.com. Sorry I didn't leave a voice mail, but I'm voicemail shy). Abney Park is a steampunk band, which gives them total geek cred, but they are also my new musical obsession. I can't pick a favorite, but if you want one that fits with the podcast, I would suggest "All the Myths are True" from The Death of Tragedy, or "Airship Pirate" from Lost Horizons (both available through iTunes. Also, you can listen to The Death of Tragedy for free through Pandora at www.pandora.com). Aether Shanties is their next release, which should be out sometime soon. I crush on Captain Robert's voice, as should you. Go listen! Go!

Also, since you ladies were stoked about the idea of internet radio and the immediate gratification that comes with it, you might also want to play around on Second Life for a little bit. (www.secondlife..com) There are many online DJ's with virtual versions of themselves in Second Life, and you might find a new audience there. Who knows? Could be fun.

Anyway, keep up the great work. Love your show, as always.
