Back in February, the Sundance Channel did a four part series to help kick off Fashion Week. It explored the history of things like the bikini and the little black dress. They called it "Love Lust," and decided to do another six part series starting this June. If you've missed it so far, they've covered topics like Street Eats and Social Networking. But this Tuesday, they'll be exploring "the undead."
It kind of looks like they forgot to put an "I Love The Zombies" logo in the background there.
Far from being a recent phenomenon, vampires and zombies have haunted us for centuries, evolving to fit the challenges of each culture and era. Simultaneously bewitching, repelling, seductive, and terrifying, these blood-suckers and brain-eaters embody both society’s greatest fears and its secret, carnal desires. LOVE LUST: THE UNDEAD looks at how every generation defines itself with monsters, from Dracula to “Twilight” and from Vlad the Impaler to “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
The series airs every Tuesday on the Sundance Channel at 10 pm. The next three episodes, including "The Undead" (which airs on the 28th), also take a look at the paranormal and secret societies.
Has anyone seen this show yet? I'm not even sure I get the Sundance Channel. It looks interesting, and I'd really like to have seen the fashion series. I wonder why they haven't gone the Starz! route and started putting their stuff on Netflix?
