Last month, we held a contest where we had people write in about their worst convention experiences. The winners would receive original art from Dave MacDowell, and a $25 gift certificate from Neatorama. This weekend at C2E2, Laura and I went over all the entrants with some of our associates, and decided upon two clear winners.
First, there is Sarah, who wrote in about a tornado that struck during a convention she was attending. (Unanimously it was decided that tornadoes are frakking terrifying.) We also liked Alex's story about the Pasadena Comic Con, "Los Angeles Rock'n Comic Con." Whereas we meant for contestants to share a terrible experience at a convention, Alex had an experience with a convention that was terrible. We enjoyed how he turned the concept on its head.
Congratulations to our winners, and all the entries will be read on our next podcast, so stay tuned!
