Oh, Tim Daly, You're the Dreamiest Supes

Superman / Batman: Apocalypse, based on “Superman / Batman: Supergirl” by Jeph Loeb, Michael Turner & Peter Steigerwald, drops on DVD tomorrow, people. And, unlike Crisis on Two Earths which was the worst case of Wrong Sounding Muppets ever, Kevin Conroy and Tim Daly are back in the correct roles. Summer Glau plays Supergirl and I guess craziness happens in a volcano or something. At least that's what all the publicity stills lead me to believe. I didn't read the book.

Anyway, there is this awesome clip of Krypto growling at Supergirl because he knows she's really a Terminator:

This flick is directed by Lauren Montgomery, who directed the Wonder Woman animated movie last year. It's written by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Tab Murphy (of Gorillas in the Mist fame).

If you can't see the above clip, it's Tim Daly talking about why Superman using superpowers to help Supergirl is more special than Superman using superpowers to save puny Earthlings. I may be paraphrasing.

Their cheeks look weird in this! The lines are... very straight.

Bren:

Yeah, the Michael Turner styling really makes the guys look like drag queens. Supes has guyliner and Batman apparently has had botox. BUT STILL. KRYPTO.
